FathersDay

Recently there has been an uptick in popularity for companies to start marketing to dads, some good and some not so good. Kudos to these companies for standing up for men and showing them in a positive image. History in television has not been kind when portraying fathers, typically they are the doufus, the joker, the f**k up, the abuser, and on and on with the unkind portrayals. There have been exceptions to the rule of course and it's nice to see these companies portraying dads in an uplifting, funny, and endearing way.

1. Dove / #RealStrength

Dove has put together a series of these commericals and do a great job targeting their audience and showing the best of fathers.

2. General Mills / #HowToDad

Love this commercial from our favorite backyard food maker. It celebrates Dad-dom, which we think is #Awesome.

3. MetLife / My dad's story: Dream for My Child

This commerical reminds me of all the pursuits guys do for their kids. Thanks to all the men that know what matters.

4. Toyota / #OneBoldChoice

"Being a dad is a choice. One that will make a wonderful human being who will make their own choices someday." - Toyota

5. Whirlpool / Dad & Andy

There's a proverb that says "when a parent praises their child, everyone rejoices, when a child praises the parent, everyone cries"

CONCLUSION:

We want to say Happy Father's Day to all the great dads out there. Dads are awesome and important, let's do better at showing men in a better, stronger light than what is typical.
